Christmas: 4 days and counting
Are you also sucked into this Elf on a Shelf thing? Ours is named Buddy. Despite the fact that I can barely keep up with being a tooth fairy (7x over), moving buddy each morning is equally challenging for one reason: Gabriel magically wakes up when I do.
So, I dash upstairs, one time shoving Buddy under my shirt and placing it in the bathroom. Other mornings I've told G to wait 5 minutes for coming upstairs to quickly move Buddy.
And the other morning I was so tired of G's questions (WHY did he have to wait 5 minutes? What was I doing?) So I LIED and said I was wrapping presents (at 6am? In 5 minutes?)...and then he proceeding to look for said mythically wrapped presents for another 20.
BUT yay, only 2 more nights of hiding because Christmas Eve he goes back to Santa.
Buddy totally works for G, not so much for L, which is not suprising. Earlier this week Chuck called Santa to report some naughty behavior which instantly had G in TEARS although he wasn't being naughty L was, and L didn't even flinch.
But it is fun to see them get up in the morning and hunt for Buddy and to watch them telling Buddy about the other's naughty acts- it's a bit of a confessional, really.
Now we just need a Bunny on the Shelf to get us to the next holiday...JUST KIDDING, I couldn't keep up and somehow they'd catch me and then the magical of the Easter Bunny and possibly Christmas would be lost- and I can't be responsible for that!
Peace out.
